Accounting Expertise Sought

We are seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team in managing day-to-day transactional finance processes.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial operations across the business.

Responsibilities include managing finance inbox, accurately processing supplier invoices, credit cards, and employee expenses in NetSuite, raising purchase orders upon request, preparing weekly payment runs for review and processing, sending sales invoices, tracking payment status, and following up with debtors as needed.

Other duties include performing regular reconciliations of bank accounts, ensuring transactional integrity, supporting the preparation and filing of VAT returns in compliance with UK tax standards, assisting in the preparation of accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations, collating and preparing year-end data, and supporting audit documentation requests.

The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in finance, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, hands-on experience within a finance function, knowledge of accounting principles and month-end/year-end processes, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Additionally, the successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and an understanding of data privacy and financial compliance standards.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience within a finance function
  • Experience in UK GAAP and IFRS is highly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and month-end/year-end processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus
