Accounting Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an integral member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of other accountants while maintaining the highest level of quality and accuracy.

About this Role

  • Complete various types of accounting tasks as required by clients, including BAS, IAS, FBT, FTC, DIV7A, Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships, TPAR, Payroll Tax, Payroll - Full scope of wages, Group Certificates, Superannuation compliance, and other tasks as directed.
  • Manage and review the work of other Accountants to ensure it meets Australian accounting standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience in Australian accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Intermediate to Advanced Xero software skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lead a small team and review work from other staff.
