Job Opportunity

In this role, you will support missionaries in their first twelve weeks in the field. You will train remotely using principles and other missionary resources to provide real-world experiences and operate within a division.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will report to a trainer or supervisor level.
  • Meet with missionaries remotely to provide instruction, counsel, and feedback in one-on-one coaching, small group facilitation, and regular follow-up.
  • Plan and prepare sessions following an approved curriculum to meet the missionary's needs.
  • Direct missionaries in planning and accounting for their learning.
  • Implement direction and training from senior managers of a division.
  • Attend weekly training meetings and one-ones with a mentor trainer.
  • Ensure continued growth, development, and understanding of practices and curriculum.
  • Report on needs and progress of assigned tasks to leadership.
  • Coach missionaries in preparation for and during practice, live sessions, and follow-up.
  • Ensure the well-being of each missionary.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a returned missionary of less than 3 years or currently teaching at a Missionary Training Center unless exceptional language need is identified.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) at a high proficiency in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Outstanding coaching, facilitation, and training skills and abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Preach My Gospel.
  • Ability to train remotely through video calls on a desktop or laptop.
  • Excellent interpersonal, prioritizing, professionalism, and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with people.
  • Willing to receive and implement feedback.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Returned missionary of 2 years or less
  • MTC classroom teaching or tutoring experience
  • Experience with online interactions including chat, video conference, etc.
  • Fluency in a second language
