Job Description

  • As a security engineer, you will be responsible for administering firewalls to ensure secure network operations.
  • You will develop and implement security policies to protect against cyber threats and configure and manage various security devices and systems.
  • Additionally, you will provide technical assistance and support to customers, document and communicate case information effectively, and collaborate with customers to resolve network resource access issues.
  • Furthermore, you will escalate complex issues to appropriate teams or authorities and adhere to policies, procedures, and security practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • Practical experience with network security concepts and technologies is also required.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Network Operating Systems is necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies and configurations is also required.
  • Experience with VPN technologies, network protocols, and architectures is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto Panorama network management software is desirable.
  • Recent professional experience with security products such as Cisco, Palo Alto, IPTables, Snort, Meraki, Fortinet, Checkpoint, or other technologies is highly valued.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills is also required.
  • Ability to work independently and escalate complex issues is essential for this role.
