Engineering Manager for Distributed Systems

We are looking for a seasoned engineering manager to lead our distributed systems team.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in software delivery and operations, with experience managing teams of engineers. They should be able to identify and measure key team health indicators, implement disciplined engineering processes, and represent the team to stakeholders, customers, and external teams.

The role entails working closely with customers, product engineering, and operations to deliver high-quality managed services in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of professional experience in software delivery using Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar, as well as managing operations teams.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field
  • Proven experience in software delivery and operations
  • Strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Experience with Linux system administration, Ubuntu/Debian a plus
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Experience working in and managing distributed teams
  • Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
