Job Title: Jewelry Production Manager

The role of a Jewelry Production Manager involves overseeing the entire manufacturing process of fine or fashion jewelry, from conceptualization to delivery. This includes managing production schedules, allocating workloads, and ensuring quality control.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily production operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of production activities.
  • Develop and implement effective production strategies to meet business objectives and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with designers, CAD teams, and bench jewelers to bring designs to life while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Source and manage relationships with material suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement of necessary materials.
  • Maintain detailed production documentation, including BOMs and cost sheets, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce quality control standards across all stages of production, ensuring that products meet customer expectations.
  • Forecast inventory needs and ensure necessary materials are procured on time to avoid delays and optimize production efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in jewelry production or manufacturing management is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of jewelry materials, processes, and supply chain dynamics is essential for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and jewelry design principles is also beneficial.
  • Effective communication and vendor management skills are required to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship and quality are critical characteristics of a successful Jewelry Production Manager.
Key Skills:
  • Experience communicating with the factory and coordinating production activities.
  • Understanding of CAD designs and ability to read technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of diamonds and other precious stones, including their properties and applications.
