Job Role Overview

The role of Financial Reporting Business Analyst - AVP is a key position within the CFO Division, responsible for ensuring sound risk management and financial governance across multiple global locations.

The COO team oversees strategy and execution, governance, resource allocation, change management, and control oversight for the CFO Division. This involves working closely with stakeholders to define business requirements, analyse problems, and capture their needs.

  • This entails collaborating with IT colleagues on the delivery team to refine requirements into specifications, creating user stories, and designing solutions that can be executed effectively.
  • Additionally, the role involves providing input to end users' test approach, cutover, and business readiness.
  • Facilitating communication across Technology, End Users, and design lead is crucial in order to create consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions.
  • The position also includes helping in the creation of process flows and control documents.
  • Establishing relationships and working collaboratively across other functions, such as Procurement, HR, and IT, is necessary to ensure requirements and design are aligned front to back with any dependencies clarified.
  • Supporting the project manager as required involves status reporting inputs, issues/risks management, and all other aspects of the project including planning and tracking of activities and dependencies.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define business requirements for one or more functional area associated with the adoption of a new operating model aligned with the adoption of a new Ledger (SAP 4 Hana).
  2. Manage stakeholders through a structured process to understand their needs, analyse problems, and capture their requirements.
  3. Partner with IT colleagues on the delivery team to refine the requirement into specifications, create user stories, and design solutions that can be executed.
  4. Provide input to the end users' test approach, cutover, and business readiness.
  5. Facilitate communication across Technology, End Users, and design lead to create consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions.
  6. Help in the creation of process flows and control documents.
  7. Establish relationships and work collaboratively across other functions to ensure requirements and design are aligned front to back with any dependencies clarified.
  8. Support the project manager as required with respect to status reporting inputs, issues/risks management, and all other aspects of the project.
Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Demonstrate relevant experience in designing and documenting requirements for transformation programmes in Finance - SAP S4 Hana preferred with experience in Group Reporting Module.
  2. Show strong analytical skills and clear problem-solving capabilities in business/data analysis within financial services.
  3. Have experience in designing business processes including documentation of structured process maps and related documentation such as control definition.
  4. Be familiar with multi-GAAP financial reporting.
  5. Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience in explaining complex processes and issues clearly and concisely to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
  6. Demonstrate a structured, organized, and results-oriented approach, showing high levels of diligence and attention to detail.
  7. Have detailed knowledge of Accounting and other Finance processes.
  8. Hold an Accounting qualification.
  9. Knowledge of asset management industry is preferred.
  10. Able to work in a hybrid work model and flexible schedule.
