Power BI Developer Role

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Power BI and its data components, as well as experience with Databricks platform, SQL Server, and Power BI Licensing models.

This key role involves conducting customer discovery meetings to determine reporting requirements, understanding and working with customers on Power BI Licensing, creating star schema data models for use with Power BI, building reports and dashboards, and guiding customers on deploying Power BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct customer discovery meetings to establish business intelligence needs
  • Develop and implement Power BI solutions that meet customer expectations
  • Design and create effective star schema data models for use in Power BI
  • Guide customers through the deployment process of Power BI solutions to the Power BI service
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science or a related field
  • Proven leadership skills with 8+ years of experience in managing teams and working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack
  • Working knowledge of TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI
  • Dynamic measure designs using advanced DAX techniques
  • Experience creating complete Power BI report solutions based on business questions
  • Utilize Databricks platform to develop, implement, and optimize data pipelines and workflows

Responsibilities may include: Utilizing best practices in data visualization to enhance decision-making capabilities; collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive business intelligence solutions; identifying opportunities for improvement in existing processes and implementing changes to drive efficiency gains.

Must-haves: Extensive knowledge of Power BI and its ecosystem; ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise language; strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
