Financial Controllers oversee the financial operations for clients, ensuring compliance, accuracy and strategic alignment.About This Role

This is a high level financial role that requires leadership skills to manage entity-level and group-wide financial processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage accounts receivable, including quote preparation, invoicing and payment reminders.
  2. Oversee accounts payable, including purchase orders and payout scheduling.
  3. Perform payment and payout reconciliations for entity transactions.
  4. Record entity-specific transactions and adjust profit and loss and balance sheet movements.
  5. Implement authorisation controls for entity expenses and payments.
  6. Establish financial controls for entity-specific purchase orders and approvals.
  7. Prepare quarterly BAS and annual returns for each entity.
  8. Develop and approve budgets for each entity.
  9. Prepare financial forecasts for each entity.
  10. Manage schedules for entity-specific tangible and intangible assets.
  11. Oversee entity-specific payroll processing, superannuation and PAYG compliance.
  12. Administer entity-specific commission and bonus schedules.
  13. Track revenue and costs for entity-specific projects.
  14. Value and amortize entity-specific IP assets.
  15. Manage payments to entity-specific vendors, freelancers and talent.
  16. Manage eliminations for group consolidation.
  17. Prepare group-level financial reports.
  18. Manage cash pooling and liquidity across the group.
  19. Establish arm's length pricing for inter-company transactions.
  20. Develop group tax strategies.
  21. Draft and maintain agreements for shared services.
  22. Prepare group-level cash flow forecasts.
  23. Identify and mitigate group financial risks.
  24. Evaluate group debt vs equity financing.
  25. Monitor and report on group debt facilities.
  26. Manage group consolidation and tax advisory projects.
  27. Coordinate external audits for all entities.
  28. Conduct financial due diligence for group acquisitions.
  29. Prepare group financial reports for shareholders, board and external stakeholders.
  30. Build group-level 3-way forecasts, M&A models and financial charts.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel regularly within the region.
