Procurement Expert: Unlock Career Opportunities

The Procurement Expert is responsible for acquiring goods, services and construction from external sources. Their primary role is to ensure the organization receives the right quality products at the best price while meeting its operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and Evaluate Suppliers: Identify suitable vendors by conducting market research and assessing their capabilities.
  • Negotiate Contracts and Manage Supplier Relationships: Develop contracts with suppliers, create terms and conditions, and oversee contract performance throughout their lifecycle.
  • Order Processing and Inventory Management: Place orders, track inventory levels, and guarantee timely delivery of materials.
  • Build Strong Vendor Partnerships: Foster long-term relationships with suppliers to secure mutual benefits.
  • Cost Analysis and Optimization: Analyze market trends, compare prices, and implement strategies to reduce costs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, industry regulations, and contract terms, and manage potential risks.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, coordinate with other departments, and collaborate with suppliers.
  • Accurate Record Keeping and Performance Reporting: Maintain precise records of procurement activities, including contracts, orders, and supplier information, and prepare reports on procurement performance.
Requirements:
  • Analytical Skills: Analyze market data, evaluate supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiation Skills: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Identify and resolve issues related to procurement activities.
  • Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records.
  • Financial Acumen: Understand financial concepts, interpret budgets, and analyze cost-benefit ratios.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using procurement software and other relevant technologies.

This role requires a college graduate or equivalent experience, strong oral and written communication skills, and at least one year of negotiation experience.
