Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing and procurement activities to ensure safe and timely delivery of requisitions ordered by vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and procurement activities including checking and analyzing requisitions based on the requirement of stakeholders.
  • Compliance with available frame agreements prices pre-selected by the vessel.
  • Issuing Purchase Orders (PO) with all required details once approved.
  • Ensuring that supplier issues Order confirmation.
  • Following up on delivery two days before Estimated Time of Berth (ETB).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience in procurement, preferably from the shipping industry.
  • Proficiency in advanced procurement systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • High stress tolerance, handling multiple tasks within limited timeframes in a structured manner with an eye for detail.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Collaboration, inclusion, and teamwork skills.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Initiative and accountability skills.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
