Lead QA Automation Strategist

This is a senior-level position responsible for spearheading the quality assurance strategy across teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our web and software products.

The ideal candidate will lead the QA Automation team in defining and implementing testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices across all projects. They will drive test planning, prioritization, and execution of both manual and automated testing across frontend, backend, and mobile systems.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reusable automated test scripts that simulate end-to-end user interactions across platforms. Additionally, they will monitor automation test coverage and execution results, ensuring issues are identified early and release cycles are efficient and reliable.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will review test results and quality metrics, preparing leadership-level reports and recommendations for quality improvements and risk mitigation.

Maintenance and enhancement of the automation framework, testing tools, and CI/CD integrations are also key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will mentor QA engineers and foster a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous learning within the QA team.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to integrate QA processes seamlessly into the development lifecycle and release workflows.

Requirements:
  • At least 5+ years experience in both manual and automation testing and at least 1 year experience in leading a team.
  • Development and execution of test plans and scenarios.
  • Experience in writing automated tests in Selenium, Cypress, and Appium, Robot Framework.
  • Testing complex GUIs, APIs, and platforms.
  • Source control management like Git, Bitbucket, etc.
