Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of complex payment processing systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, architecting scalable and secure backend systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • System Design and Development: Design, develop, and deploy complex payment processing systems, leveraging expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and coding principles.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior engineers and developers.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and business analysts, to understand requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Problem-Solving and Optimization: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on payments, fintech, or related domains.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, Go, Scala, or Rust; extensive experience in developing and integrating with banking and card scheme protocols.
  • Database and Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases, distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fintech and Payments Expertise: Previous work experience in the banking or fintech industry, with knowledge of financial industry frameworks and technologies.
  • Cloud and Containerization: Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • API Design and Development: Experience in designing and developing scalable, secure, and reliable APIs using technologies such as GraphQL, REST, or RPC.
