Part-Time Accounting Position

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and finance, with a strong understanding of billing, AP/AR, and reconciliation processes.

The Accountant will be responsible for generating and issuing customer invoices accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations. Additionally, the role will involve maintaining proper documentation of all billing records, processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments, reconciling vendor statements, and managing payment schedules.

Responsibilities:
  • Billing & Invoicing
    • Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
    • Maintain proper documentation of all billing records.
  • Accounts Payable
    • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
    • Manage payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement.
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments.
    • Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments.
    • Prepare aging reports and escalate overdue accounts.
  • Debt Follow-Up
    • Contact clients with overdue invoices via phone or email.
    • Maintain a log of collection activities and customer communications.
    • Collaborate with sales or legal teams on complex or delinquent accounts.
  • Reconciliation
    • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and sub-ledgers.
    • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Solid understanding of billing, AP/AR, and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Benefits:

This part-time position offers a flexible schedule, Monday - Friday (8pm-12mn), and a competitive hourly rate of P300 - P350 per hour.
