About the Role

This part-time, temporary opportunity supports missionaries in their initial stages of service. Coaches train remotely using established principles and resources, facilitating real-world experiences and adhering to a defined curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reports directly to senior-level trainers or supervisors.
  • Engages in remote coaching sessions with missionaries, providing instruction, counsel, and feedback through one-on-one interactions, group facilitation, and regular follow-ups.
  • Promotes growth by planning and preparing sessions tailored to individual missionary needs.
  • Directs missionaries in learning planning and accountability.
  • Cultivates understanding of In-Field Missionary Learning and Development practices and Preach My Gospel curriculum.
  • Participates in weekly training meetings and maintains open communication with Mentor Trainers.
  • Enhances personal and professional development through continuous growth and self-improvement.
  • Provides updates on assigned tasks and progress to leadership.
  • Empowers missionaries for successful practice, live sessions, and follow-up.
  • Maintains a focus on missionary well-being.
  • May assume additional responsibilities as a Training Area Assistant, contingent upon available hours.
Requirements
  • Must be a returned missionary within three years or an MTC instructor, unless exceptional language proficiency is demonstrated.
  • Exemplary English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in coaching, facilitation, and training abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Preach My Gospel principles.
  • Able to effectively communicate through video calls utilizing desktop or laptop devices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, prioritization, professionalism, and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and adept at working collaboratively with others.
  • Receptive to constructive feedback and willing to implement improvements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
