Geodetic Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Geodetic Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of geotechnical data.

  • Job Summary:
  • The Geodetic Engineer will be responsible for traveling to meeting and evaluation sites, inspecting formations, drawing samples, determining land movements, reviewing weather patterns, suggesting fixes, calculating costs, and sharing evidence-based verdicts.
Responsibilities:
  • Travel to Meeting and Evaluation Sites - Ensure timely attendance at scheduled meetings and evaluation sites.
  • Inspect Formations - Conduct thorough inspections of naturally occurring formations at each prospective site.
  • Drawing Samples - Gather an array of samples and study these in the laboratory.
  • Determine Land Movements - Assess the likelihood of consequential movements in the land.
  • Review Weather Patterns - Analyze prevailing weather patterns and search for noteworthy anomalies.
  • Suggest Fixes - Provide effective recommendations to address geotechnical obstacles.
  • Calculate Costs - Determine all requisite costs and material resources.
  • Share Verdicts - Communicate final evidence-based findings with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering - Hold a Bachelor's degree in geotechnical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Geodetic Engineer - Possess a valid license as a Geodetic Engineer.
  • 2-3 Years Related Experience - Have 2-3 years of related working experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Accredited by the Appropriate Council - Be accredited by the relevant council or regulatory body.
  • Demonstrable Experience as a Geotechnical Engineer - Showcase demonstrable experience as a geotechnical engineer.
  • Valid Driver's License - Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Expertise in Geology, Climatology, Chemistry, and Mathematics - Possess expertise in geology, climatology, chemistry, and mathematics.
  • Refined Sample Extraction and Transportation Skills - Demonstrate refined sample extraction and transportation skills.
  • Well-Honed Laboratory Skills - Possess well-honed and updated laboratory skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Abilities - Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
