Contract Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Contract Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms, scope coverage, and inclusions/exclusions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify contract terms, scope coverage, and inclusions/exclusions to guarantee compliance.
  • Double-check material quantities and scope coverage against project requirements to prevent errors.
  • Utilize specialized software such as Bluebeam to review drawings, markups, and perform takeoffs as required.
  • Identify discrepancies or gaps in contractor submissions and recommend solutions to resolve issues.
  • Review and compare contractor quotes and scopes to ensure accurate evaluation and selection.
  • Prepare recommendations for contractor selection based on price, scope, and compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of contractor pricing and project-related documentation for future reference.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reporting to the Construction Manager on contract status and variations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in contract administration or project support within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam for drawing review, takeoffs, and documentation is essential.
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, scopes, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
  • High attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with construction management software.
  • Organised, process-driven, and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
