Key Insights Analyst

Data analysis plays a crucial role in supporting investment teams by transforming data into valuable insights. This position involves analyzing startup ecosystems, developing dashboards, and streamlining reporting to help identify opportunities and make informed investment decisions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyze startup databases and financial metrics to discover early-stage investment prospects.
  • Track industry trends, deal activity, and portfolio performance.
  • Support research initiatives for new markets, sectors, and technologies.
  • Design and implement dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and market developments.
  • Maintain and enhance internal databases of companies, contacts, and industry benchmarks.
  • Automate routine data tasks using Excel, SQL, or lightweight scripting.
  • Assist in preparing reports, visualizations, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to due diligence processes with data-driven recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or consulting.
  • Prior experience in startups or venture capital firms is highly desirable; a demonstrated interest is beneficial.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in Python or R programming languages.
  • SQL expertise for querying structured datasets.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
