
Patient Service Representative

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a professional to serve as the initial point of contact for patients calling our service. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service, gather patient information, and schedule appointments with our medical team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage intake phone calls from patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Collect initial information from patients, including personal details and symptoms or chief complaints
- Schedule same-day or urgent appointments based on patient needs
- Coordinate appointment times with our medical team and input details into our scheduling system
- Determine and assign the appropriate doctor for each case based on patient symptoms, location, and timing
- Communicate with doctors to confirm their availability and provide them with necessary patient details
- Send out confirmation details and informative follow-ups to patients and doctors
- Follow up with patients and doctors after appointments to confirm issues were addressed and services were satisfactory
- Proactively manage and resolve logistical issues that may occur during the intake or appointment process
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service, patient intake, or call center role
- Excellent communication skills, with a clear speaking voice and strong written communication
- Able to convey information calmly and effectively to patients who may be anxious or in distress
- Empathy, patience, and professionalism in every interaction
- Culturally sensitive and able to build trust with a diverse patient population
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities
- Comfortable using technology to facilitate workflow, with experience in electronic medical record systems, scheduling software, or CRM tools preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot minor tech issues independently
Work Environment:
- Remote work setup with a dependable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional environment
- Self-discipline to work remotely and follow U.S. timezone hours reliably
