Job Title: Senior Accounting Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Leader to oversee our accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-end accounting processes, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, preparing financial statements, and supporting the month-end closing process. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining financial integrity and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Accounting:
    • Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
    • Generate and distribute financial reports to management, providing insights into financial performance and variances.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing:
    • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
    • Review journal entries and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Audit Coordination:
    • Prepare documentation and support external auditors during the annual audit process.
    • Address audit inquiries and implement any necessary changes based on audit findings.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the accounting department and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring timely adjustments to accounting practices.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for operational improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for projects and initiatives.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
