Accounting Associate Job DescriptionJob Overview

The Accounting Associate is a key role within our organization responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.

Responsibilities
  • Record all financial transactions, reconciliations, and payments in accordance with Australian accounting principles.
  • Process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable while adhering to Australian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian GAAP.
  • Support with statutory reporting requirements and compliance.
  • Calculate and process payroll payments, including superannuation contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll tax regulations.
  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and Australian tax guidelines.
  • Manage accounting-related correspondence and emails, ensuring timely responses and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure proper documentation management.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other tax returns as required.
  • Stay updated on Australian tax regulations and ensure timely compliance.
  • Participate in special accounting projects and process improvements as assigned.
