Job Title: Financial Operations Coordinator

The primary objective of this role is to deliver high-quality financial operations, client relationship management, and accurate accounting services. This includes staying informed about each client's needs and opportunities for growth and stewardship.

This position supports monthly financial reviews, bank feed updates, payroll recording, client communications, and periodic accounting clean-up.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Processing: Code transactions from each bank or credit card account according to established procedures.
  • Bank Account Reconciliations: Assist with end-of-month reconciliation for assigned client accounts.
  • Credit Card Reconciliations: Reconcile client credit card activity.
  • Financial Review: Follow up with clients on unrecorded income/expenses; cross-check statements for accuracy; respond to client questions about coding decisions.
  • Payroll Recording: Record payroll transactions using templates; prepare journal entries; upload to QuickBooks and/or Xero; book benefit bills; reconcile clearing accounts.
  • Accounting Cleanup: Assist with cleanup in areas such as revenue coding, payroll, balance sheet accounts.
Requirements:
  • Background in Accounting or understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Good written communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented; able to learn new concepts with written and hands-on support.
  • Experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Xero.
  • Understanding of property management accounting.
  • Familiarity with the NARPM Standard Chart of Accounts.
  • Experience in AppFolio or related reports.
  • Payroll processing and payroll tax filing experience.
  • Prior experience with financial auditing or financial review.
