Telecommunications Specialist

The Telecommunications Specialist will be responsible for the daily maintenance, repairment, relocation, fiber core quality and utilization management of all optical cables and related facilities nationwide.

They will also be responsible for maintaining and repairment work of the 16 submarine cables currently owned by the company. The specialist will work closely with regional teams to expedite fault resolution and provide technical guidance. They will address any potential SAQ-related issues and clarify relevant procedures for obtaining licenses and permits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Able to systematically summarize and analyze daily O&M activities across all regions, and submit clear and accurate work reports in a timely manner
  • Liaise with regional teams to expedite fault resolution and provide technical guidance. And also address any potential SAQ-related issues and be able to clarify the relevant procedures for obtaining licenses and permits.
  • Communicate and exchange information with the network construction department, SAM, finance, procurement and other departments regarding the related work involving engineering projects and engineering specifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis, reporting and presentations.
  • Be able to read and analyze the test report files of the OTDR and identify the causes of faults.
  • Analytical & Operational skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose technical issues, interpret system data, and prioritize actions.
  • Experience in coordinating multi-team workflows and managing incident tickets.
  • adept at translating technical details for non-technical audiences
