Job Opportunity

Position: Engineering Support Specialist

Number of hours: 20 hours/week

Schedule: North Carolina Timezone (EST)

We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide technical and documentation support for ongoing engineering projects. You'll work closely with the engineer to prepare drawings, diagrams, and organized documentation that ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Create and edit 2D drawings using AutoCAD
  • Prepare diagrams and layouts in Microsoft Visio or similar tools
  • Assist with developing cutsheets, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Organize and maintain engineering documentation and project files
  • Conduct light technical research, such as identifying alternative components or suppliers
  • Support the engineering team with other documentation or technical tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (basic 2D drawing skills required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or other diagramming software
  • Familiarity with wiring harness components (connectors, terminals, wire, tools) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience in electrical or mechanical engineering support is preferred but not required
  • Proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment
