Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage the financial transactions of our organization. As an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and has excellent communication skills. You must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices, ensure accuracy and proper approvals before payment; verify invoice details, match invoices with purchase orders, resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers; maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and update the general ledger.
  • Communicate with vendors to address billing discrepancies and confirm payment schedules; reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve outstanding balances with vendors.
  • Generate and send customer invoices; monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Apply customer payments and reconcile discrepancies; maintain organized records of all receivables.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
