The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting financial due diligence, navigating the complexities of a business purchase, and establishing robust accounting practices for the new ownership.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of existing business books and financial records to support the acquisition process
- Provide expert guidance on the financial aspects of the business purchase transaction
- Ensure full compliance with Australian tax regulations and requirements
- Prepare and review tax returns in accordance with local, state, and federal tax laws
- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify tax optimization opportunities and mitigate potential risks
- Deliver strategic tax planning advice to inform critical business decisions
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA or ACCA certification strongly preferred
- Proven experience working with Australian businesses and comprehensive knowledge of Australian tax compliance requirements
- Qualified to practice accounting in Australia
- Proficiency with accounting software, with Xero experience highly valued
- Experience with business acquisitions or due diligence processes preferred but not essential
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
