US Tax Specialist

We are seeking a skilled US Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will work closely with our Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) to provide expert guidance and service to clients from around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our CPAs to provide timely and accurate tax filing services for clients
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient tax preparation processes
  • Provide exceptional client service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in US tax laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to inform our tax strategies and recommendations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new tax processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Active PTIN required or ability to obtain prior to tax season
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex tax-related issues
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Federal and State income tax returns for businesses, preparing quarterly estimates, handling tax notices and disputes
  • Knowledge of tax filings, including Form 1120/5472 for non-US residents and Form 1065 for partnerships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active CPA or EA certification (or planning to obtain)
  • Experience researching United States tax information
  • Familiarity with Intuit tax products
  • Familiarity with Wave, Quickbooks, or other SMB accounting software
