Job Title: SQL Developer

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to support business operations.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in SQL programming and API development/integration.
  • Experience with core insurance applications or platforms such as Precentia, Guidewire, LifeAsia, SAP FS-CD, or custom PAS systems is highly desirable.
  • You should have hands-on experience integrating with RESTful APIs for claims, reinsurer systems, premium payment, etc.
  • A strong understanding of database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is essential.
  • The successful candidate will also have strong knowledge of T-SQL / PL-SQL for complex insurance-related queries and reporting.
  • You should be proficient with testing tools (Postman), API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), and version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with RESTful services architecture and HTTP methods is required.
  • Proficiency with JSON, XML, and data exchange formats common in insurance workflows is necessary.
  • Experience with database performance monitoring and optimization tools is an asset.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL is required.
  • Familiarity with insurance compliance standards and reporting requirements is desired.
  • Experience with analytics/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS) related to underwriting and claims dashboards is an asset.
