Job Title: Database Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Specialist to join our team.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and integrity.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with experience in managing multiple databases and ensuring data consistency across various environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and optimize database systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Enforce strict database change management and security standards to protect against data breaches.
  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide expert advice on database design, tuning, and setup.
  • Perform production deployments and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a database administrator.
  • Proficiency in MSSQL database administration (SQL 2016 and above) in production environments.
  • Experience with SQL High Availability and WSFC (Windows Cluster).
  • Knowledge of SQL SSRS, SSIS package development, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as SQL Azure and CosmosDB.
