Jira Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Jira Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to support our product development and business development efforts.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for Jira customizations and configurations. Your knowledge of Jira modules, features, and best practices will enable you to customize and configure Jira to meet teams' business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for Jira customizations and configurations.
  • Utilize your knowledge of Jira modules, features, and best practices to customize and configure Jira to meet teams' business needs.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through data mapping, data flow, data cleansing, and data migration activities.
  • Develop solutions with scalability for growth, efficiency, industry best practices, and optimally leveraging available Jira features.
  • Explore new features and modules available within Jira domain and third-party solutions that work well with Jira to respond to new requirements across our business.
  • Conduct small training sessions and create documentation to empower end-users to effectively utilize Jira.
  • Collaborate with business managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Jira modules, features, and best practices.

  • Familiarity with third-party solutions that work well with Jira.

Certifications:

PMP or Agile certifications are a plus.
