Senior SMSF Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SMSF Accountant to join our team, bringing extensive experience in SMSF compliance and accounting. This role requires technical expertise in SMSFs as well as leadership skills in reviewing and mentoring junior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Manage complex fund transactions including pensions, contributions, and investment portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Liaise with auditors to finalise SMSF compliance reviews, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
  • Supervise and mentor intermediate SMSF accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth.
  • Offer technical support to Australian client managers, delivering exceptional service and expertise.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' SMSF accounting experience within an Australian accounting firm, demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of SMSF legislation, SIS Act, and ATO requirements, ensuring compliance and adherence.
  • Experience with Class Super, BGL, or other SMSF administration software, showcasing proficiency in key systems.
  • Strong review and supervisory skills, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
