Job Description

Our organization is seeking a Senior SMSF Accountant to lead our team of accounting professionals. As a Senior SMSF Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation.

  • Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation;
  • Review and manage complex fund transactions including pensions, contributions, and investment portfolios;
  • Liaise with auditors to finalise SMSF compliance reviews;
  • Supervise and mentor intermediate SMSF accountants;
  • Provide technical support to Australian client managers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in SMSF accounting within an Australian accounting firm;
  • In-depth knowledge of SMSF legislation, SIS Act, and ATO requirements;
  • Experience with Class Super, BGL, or other SMSF administration software;
  • Strong review and supervisory skills;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
