Healthcare Data Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in analyzing and interpreting complex healthcare data to support clinical operations. This role involves working with diverse data sets, including claims, EMR, and encounter data.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data analysis strategies to optimize Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) coding and Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) scoring.
  • Collaborate with coding and clinical teams to ensure accurate risk-adjusted coding and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support care management, quality improvement initiatives, and business intelligence.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and insights from large healthcare data sets and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation and validation procedures to ensure consistent data analysis and high-quality results.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in U.S. healthcare analytics, medical coding, or risk adjustment.
  • Strong knowledge of HCC coding, RAF scoring, ICD-10 coding standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Experience working with healthcare data platforms, data visualization tools, and statistical software.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Google Sheets, and other data manipulation tools.
  • Familiarity with CMS guidelines and risk adjustment methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in Nursing, Health Information Management, Public Health, or related fields.
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CRC) is a plus.
  • Experience working with health plans, ACOs, or Medicare Advantage organizations.
