IT Technical Specialist

Join our team as an IT Technical Specialist to support and maintain the day-to-day operation of our complex AV systems. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring all systems are in good working condition.

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work under pressure. You will be working with state-of-the-art equipment and technology to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily operational tasks to ensure all Resort AV Systems are in good working condition.
  • Ensure high standards of technical services are maintained at all times.
  • Perform regular maintenance work according to the Operation & Maintenance manual.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users on using AV/IT equipment.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and ad-hoc maintenance work in case of equipment/system breakdown.
  • Participate in AV planning and implementation of company-wide Resort AV systems; evaluate AV plans as they pertain to in-house technological needs.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team.
  • Ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of the working bench, workshop, and storage areas so that a safe and decent workplace is maintained.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by your superior from time to time.
  • Ensure health and safety measures are always met.
Requirements:I. Experience:
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience as an AV Support role from a 5-star hotel or Integrated Resort, Casino/Hotel/Entertainment industry in a similar capacity.
  • Working knowledge on AV system operation and maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in programming and configuration of audio digital signal processors (DSP) including Biamp, QSYS, Symetrix, and the like.
  • Understanding of Dante audio network technology.
  • Knowledgeable in programming and configuration of media servers including Alcorn McBride, 7th Sense.
  • Understanding of content management systems/digital signage.
  • Familiarity with Zoom & Microsoft Teams conferencing.
II. Education:
  • Diploma/Certification in AV/Electronics Engineering/IT or any relevant course would be an advantage.
  • AV discipline and/or relevant AV technology training will be a plus.
III. Skills / Competencies:
  • Intermediate English oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain AV/IT equipment.
  • Strong background on AV/IT systems including software, hardware, and networking.
  • Pro-active/Positive Can-Do attitude.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware configuration and software programming is an advantage.
