Financial Operations Manager

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Operations Specialist to manage daily accounting operations, maintain financial accuracy and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and manage payments for vendors.
- Verify and process employee reimbursements while ensuring policy compliance.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate records and compliance.
- Assist in preparing P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Perform month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and variance resolution.
- Support tax and compliance activities, including VAT/GST and corporate tax filings.
- Track expenses and recommend cost-control improvements.
- Identify automation opportunities and enhance workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of accounting experience (AP, payroll, and financial reporting).
- Experience with both Australian and US accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of IFRS & local accounting standards.
- Experience with Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills & exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
