Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, with a strong focus on data integrity and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage event settlements by liaising directly with clients to ensure completion in line with contractual terms.
  • Oversee the accurate reconciliation of event-related financials, including balance sheet reviews of ticketing balances.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations related to events.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice entry, proper coding, and approver selection.
  • Issue customer invoices, apply payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and set up customer profiles.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth execution of settlement obligations and align financial processes across the business.
  • Manage restricted cash flow and handle other administrative matters as requested by the Line Manager.
  • Serve as the internal champion for financial data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with stakeholder requirements.
Requirements:
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-set accounts, preferably in an SME or small-company setup.
  • Strong local tax expertise, including VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory filings.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide and support all departments' efficiency and process improvements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams, and ERP systems (Xero, Oracle, SAP).
  • Knowledge of Invoice ingestion/coding systems such as Inspyrus or Readsoft advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on approach to process improvement and reconciliation.
