Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for directing overall operations of the accounting department. This includes managing daily activities, supervising staff members, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs and oversees overall operations of the accounting team.
  • Ensures timely completion of tasks and manages workload effectively.
  • Supervises and reviews work of Accounting Assistant.
  • Coordinates with other team leads to ensure support for business while properly adhering to accounting guidelines and processes.
  • Reviews and handles processing of sales documentation (deal registration forms, bill of materials, commissions, and contracts).
  • Ensures completeness of required documentation before endorsement to management.
  • Reviews commission statements of sales personnel before endorsement to corporate treasurer and general manager.
  • Coordinates with HR regarding payroll processes and remittances; manages compensation reports and government benefits remittances.
  • Processes payroll using HRIS; handles mid-month, month-end, and 13th month pay.
  • Prepares and processes SSS/HDMF/PHIC and BIR remittance reports.
  • Generates BIR forms for employees' year-end and those who resigned.
  • Provides annual compensation reports to management.
  • Supervises and reviews uploaded/transmitted accounting documents.
  • Clarifies and defines how bookkeepers should handle transactions.
  • Oversees external bookkeepers and payroll document transmittals.
  • Communicates errors and mis-postings to books.
  • Checks financial statements reports against source documents.
  • Defines new accounting treatments of transactions for implementation and recording as approved by management.
  • Handles tax affairs and other accounting referrals to lawyers and auditors.
  • Coordinates interim and annual audits of books for year-end financial statements.
  • Coordinates with bank representatives for company account maintenance and investments.
  • Obtains updated interest rates for potential placements.
  • Confirms rollover of short-term investments.
  • Prepares documentary requirements for account openings.
  • Ensures signatures by authorized signatories.
  • Supports budget planning and endorses budget for president approval.
  • Documents yearly incentive plans and other accounting procedures for implementation.
