Rural Community Corrections Specialist

This role offers a chance to make a positive impact in your community as a Case Manager.
The position involves managing adults under community orders, assessing risk and need, maintaining high standards of assessment practices, and improving reintegration and rehabilitation of individuals subject to community-based orders.
The successful applicant will work closely with relevant communities and organisations to address Indigenous over-representation in the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate and resolve conflicts with stakeholders at all levels to deliver services, set priorities, meet deadlines, allocate resources, and address relevant issues.
- Work independently, coping with the pace, complexity, and multi-tasking required in this environment.
- Operate within legislative frameworks that underpin core service delivery areas.
- Build and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Develop effective communication skills for negotiating with key stakeholders on sensitive and complex issues.
- Maintain well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- A valid driver's licence, minimum C class Australian licence, is mandatory due to travel requirements.
- Flexibility is required for occasional work outside normal hours, travel to other locations, or temporary work from an alternate location.
- Employees must complete the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) within 12 months of employment and achieve certification within 18 months.
