Video Instructional Designer Job

We are seeking an experienced video instructional designer to develop engaging, learner-centric animated videos that support our training initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design or eLearning, with proficiency in using Powtoon, Canva, Camtasia, Adobe tools, and voiceover platforms. They will also possess strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Script-to-Screen Production: Transform training scripts and storyboards into polished, animated videos using Powtoon or similar tools.
  • Visual Storytelling: Apply our tone, branding, and design guidelines to produce videos that enhance clarity, engagement, and retention.
  • Storyboarding & Planning: Collaborate with content creators to storyboard scenes, plan visual flow, and determine the most effective visual treatment.
  • Audio & Voice Integration: Integrate narration, background music, and sound effects to reinforce tone and timing.
  • Content Conversion: Transform written training materials into dynamic, learner-friendly video formats.
  • Video QA & Iteration: Review and revise videos based on team and learner feedback to ensure high-quality final deliverables.
  • LMS Collaboration: Coordinate with LMS Content Coordinators and/or Training Developers to format, test, and upload videos to learning management systems.
  • Template & Asset Management: Build and maintain reusable video templates and visual assets to ensure consistency and streamline production.
  • Project Coordination: Manage video development timelines and deliverables, ensuring content is delivered on time and aligned with training calendars.

This full-time role involves working from home. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience in instructional design or eLearning, with a strong portfolio showcasing their work. They will also have basic knowledge of instructional design principles and a solid understanding of adult learning theory.
