Job Title: Accountant Specialist

This role is a unique opportunity to support fast-growing businesses in the jewelry retail industry with exceptional accounting skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly and identify discrepancies
  • Provide retail accounting support, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and POS system integration
  • Assist with financial nuances of jewelry sales, returns, and vendor purchasing
  • Process and manage vendor payments efficiently using Bill.com
  • Support payroll administration in coordination with internal systems and external providers
  • Generate financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries
  • Help identify trends and areas for cost optimization or revenue improvement
  • Collaborate with the CFO team to support forecasting and budgeting efforts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail or e-commerce setting
  • Experience working in or with the jewelry industry is a strong plus
  • Payroll experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and experience using Bill.com is required
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools, and able to learn new tech quickly
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with an ownership mentality and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and remote work environment
