Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled customer service professional to join our team as a remote disaster relief call center representative. This is a temporary, remote position contingent on hurricane disaster relief needs.

Candidates accepted for this role will be contacted by email and text on an as-needed basis. Hours of operation are from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET, with shifts from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Improve the customer's experience by providing exceptional solutions to simple requests.
  • Apply the latest customer service techniques and learn our account management systems while helping improve the customer experience during a difficult time.
  • Key responsibilities include assisting customers with service inquiries, learning common requests and solutions, improving the customer's experience, utilizing our service techniques and systems, and escalating customer dissatisfaction to proper channels.

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words a minute).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues.
  • An aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, and negotiation.
  • Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious).
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage.
  • Strong team orientation and customer focus.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity prevail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with your team and customers.
