Are you a skilled database professional looking to take your skills to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a Database Script Engineer to join our team.

About The Role:

This is a dynamic and challenging role that will see you working with cutting-edge technologies such as AWS RDS PostgreSQL and MariaDB. You will be responsible for building internal tooling to help product teams deliver faster and more accurately, growing technical expertise across cloud databases, schema design, and Aurora optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and Maintain Complex SQL Scripts: You will be writing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL scripts across AWS RDS-hosted PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments.
  • Expertise in Cloud Databases: Grow technical expertise across cloud databases, schema design, and Aurora optimization.
  • Data Extraction and Delivery: Navigate complex multi-tenant PostgreSQL schemas (Java ORM-managed) to extract, transform, and deliver data.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to scope and fulfill data-related needs.
Requirements:
  • Hands-On Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments.
  • SQL Expertise: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance.
  • Familiarity with Java ORMs: Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design.
  • Multitenant Environment Support: Experience supporting multi-tenant environments, ideally using schema-per-customer models.
