We are seeking a seasoned IT systems engineer to design and implement secure, efficient solutions for clients in the Natural Resources industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain on-prem OpenShift clusters with robust security measures.
  • Create secure tunneling solutions for deployment instructions between network levels, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity.
  • Establish air gap transfer strategies for code and artifacts, minimizing risks associated with data breaches.
  • Implement Humanitec with ArgoCD for GitOps-style deployments, adhering to on-prem networking constraints and enhancing collaboration.
  • Develop staging environments that accurately mirror production on-prem systems in AWS, facilitating testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to develop defense-in-depth strategies, protecting against emerging threats.
  • Establish robust change management processes for on-prem deployments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Design backup and disaster recovery strategies appropriate for each Purdue Model level, guaranteeing business continuity.
Requirements
  • Strong background in air-gapped and segmented network architectures, with experience in secure artifact management (JFrog Artifactory preferred).
  • Understanding of on-prem limitations (disconnected, latency, bandwidth constraints) and manual deployment processes and change control.
  • Familiarity with vSphere and on-premises virtualization, as well as desirable skills and experience in industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.), container platforms (OpenShift and EKS), and infrastructure (on-premises VMware vSphere and Docker Swarm).
