Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Media Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our public relations group, you will be responsible for building relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure coverage for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute media pitches that articulate the client's core messages and unique brand differentiators
  • Collaborate with account managers to identify audience and appropriate formats for media campaigns
  • Prepare press releases and media materials for distribution, including gathering and organizing complementary visuals
  • Implement media relations with national, regional, and local media outlets
  • Serve as an organized project manager, overseeing project timelines and media deadlines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or related field
  • Demonstrated success in securing media coverage for clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
