Key Responsibilities

As a staff accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements for accounting clients. This involves ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the preparation of financial data entry/import, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and assist in tax return preparation during peak seasons.
  • Reconcile books across three entities each month with precision and efficiency.
  • Manage accounts payable processing through RAMP software integrated with NetSuite.

You will also be required to support client-facing accounting teams with monthly close activities in QuickBooks Online when available, as well as participate in ad-hoc accounting projects and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess 3-5+ years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in cash and tax basis accounting principles. They must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, macros, VLOOKUPs), and have strong data management skills.

  • Certified in QuickBooks Online is preferred, with experience in Accounting CS being a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to interact effectively with staff and clients.
