The Project Estimation Specialist plays a crucial role in project estimation by accurately interpreting drawings, performing takeoffs, and preparing cost proposals. This position requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and effective communication to ensure precise calculations and efficient project execution.

This specialist is responsible for conducting takeoffs from plumbing and sprinkler drawings to determine material quantities and labor costs. They review all project documents and drawings to assess factors impacting the scope of work, obtain vendor pricing for materials and supplies to ensure cost accuracy, and input takeoff data and prepare detailed proposals using provided templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough takeoffs from plumbing and sprinkler drawings to determine material quantities and labor costs
  • Review project documents and drawings to identify factors impacting the scope of work
  • Obtain accurate vendor pricing for materials and supplies
  • Prepare detailed proposals using provided Word and Excel templates

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in plumbing and sprinkler takeoffs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and proposal preparation
  • Hands-on experience with Revu Bluebeam for digital takeoffs and markup processes
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet project deadlines
