Fire Sprinkler System Designer and Estimator

This role involves designing fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential projects. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to develop system layouts, prepare designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software, and estimate project costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive fire sprinkler system designs that meet New York City Building Codes and applicable standards.
  • Estimate project costs using Planswift and Excel, and ensure accuracy in take-offs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients remotely to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Use Fire Elite or equivalent software for hydraulic calculations and system optimization.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Planswift, Excel, and Fire Elite.
  • Knowledge of MEP design tools and strong familiarity with New York City Building Codes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as detail-oriented time management skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler design and estimation.
