Corporate Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Corporate Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial services to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be working closely with our senior accounting specialists to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements.

  • Process bank feeds, reconcile accounts, and prepare journal entries;
  • Assist with end-of-month reconciliations and provide support with client communications;
  • Record payroll transactions, prepare benefit bills, and reconcile clearing accounts;
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client financial information;

In addition to your technical skills and knowledge, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in accounting or a related field;
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to learn new concepts and software quickly;
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Xero;
