We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented financial professional to manage our company's accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Xero, reconciling payments from platforms such as EasyDebit and Stripe, and ensuring all transactions are accurately coded in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
About the Role- Manage accounts payable, including invoice receipt, coding, and submission for processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate transaction coding in Xero.
- Reconcile batch payments from clients via payment gateways such as EasyDebit, Stripe, and Square.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely payment processing.
- Post month-end general journals (e.g., accruals, prepayments, stock adjustments) as required by the Finance Manager.
- Maintain the fixed asset register in Xero.
- Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure GST compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and systems.
- Assist with payroll and superannuation contributions, if required.
