Job Title: Financial Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure timely payment of employee salaries and vendors.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on changes and developments.
  • Respond to tax-related inquiries and coordinate with tax authorities as needed, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment of employee salaries.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, maintaining confidentiality and security at all times.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits, communicating effectively throughout the process.
  • Provide support during the annual budget process, assisting with financial forecasting and planning.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure clarity and accuracy in all financial transactions, providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax preparation, with a strong understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong ability to connect with people, understand their needs, and provide exceptional customer service.
